About Gentry’s
Gentry’s Consignment Boutique has been in Newburyport for 22 years.
Rumor has it, the first owner named the store after her horse, “Gentry”. Betsy and Richard became the 4th owners in August 2006. They have
added a computerized inventory/sales system to facilitate the consignment
process and relocated the store to the front of The Tannery in August 2008.
About the Owners
Betsy and Richard met in 2004, married on Valentine’s Day, 2006, and
began new careers at Gentry’s Consignment Boutique. Betsy loves
clothes and consignment shopping and Richard is the perfect partner as
he thrives on figuring out the intricacies of the business and the consignment
software. They both enjoy customers and consignors and love to help
women dress well for less...in a boutique atmosphere.
Community Commitment
Betsy and Richard have made an ongoing commitment to
Community Action Inc., of Amesbury. Unsold merchandise goes to Community
Action to provide those in need with high quality clothes and shoes.
